At the Cinematography Department, Ondřej Nekvasil teaches the introductory film stage design for students of the Master’s and the English-language program.
Ondřej Nekvasil was born in Ostrava in 1966. He graduated from the DAMU Department of Stage Design and from the Faculty of Architecture, CTU in Prague. Since 1996, he has been teaching at the DAMU Department of Stage Design where he is currently the head teacher of the Film and Television Stage Design specialisation. In 2005, he presented his habilitation thesis and was appointed Associate Professor. He is actively practising as a theatre, film and television set designer.
