Cameraman, teacher

Vidu Gunaratna teaches colour grading and mentors practical exercises. He teaches Czech, as well as international students in the CINKK programme. Besides, he is finishing his PhD thesis.

Vidu Gunaratna was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1980. In 1989, he and his family emigrated to Germany and, subsequently, to Czechoslovakia. After studying Applied Informatics at the University of Economics in Prague, he studies Cinematography at FAMU. Fluent in Czech, English, German and speaks some Sinhala. He is an active member of the Czech Society of Cinematographers and a Board member since 2015.
