Cinematographer, teacher

At the Department of Cinematography, Kristián Hynek teaches seminars focusing on basic knowledge of cinematographic issues, visual aesthetics, as well as workshops specialising in cinematographic approaches to documentary or sports themes.

Kristián Hynek was born in 1944. He qualified as a photographer, then graduated from the FAMU Cinematography Department. He worked as a cameraman for Czechoslovak Television and, later, for the Barrandov Film Studio. Since 1991, he has taught at the Department of Cinematography where he was appointed Associate Professor in 2015.
