Magdalena Schmidtová’s domain is drawing and analysis of space. Her course concentrates on mastering basic drawing with a focus on the representation of space and application of drawing skills in cameramen’s preparation for shooting.

Magdalena Schmidtová was born in 1980 and graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, Film and TV Graphic studio of Prof. Jiří Barta. Besides animated film, she also works with painting, drawing, graphics, scenography, light object creation and visual stage projects. She teaches at FAMU and at the Nature School in Prague.

2012-2013 – art contribution and stage artwork in site-specific projects of the Berg Orchestra
2011 – individual exhibition of paintings and drawings, Landscape Records, in the Baobab Gallery in Tábor
2008 – delivery of stained glass for windows in a church in Lappersdorf, Germany
2008 – short animated film, Garden Closed

Awards:
2009 – honourable mention by international jury at the AniFest festival in Třeboň for Garden closed
