At the Department of Cinematography, Martin Bernas teaches courses presenting an introduction to the theory and technology of digital imaging, processing and reproduction of colour images. A substantial part of the curriculum is the evaluation and comparison of the properties of individual systems and the methods of both subjective assessment and objective measurement of the technical quality of the reproduced colour image.

Martin Bernas was born in 1955. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of CTU in Prague and earned the Candidate of Sciences degree therefrom in 1989. At present, he works at the same Faculty as Assistant Professor. He teaches courses focusing mainly on digital television, multimedia and studio technology.
